The Academic and General Training IELTS have the same Listening exam. It contains 4 passages. Each passage has 10 questions. The exam takes 30 minutes, plus an additional 10 minutes to transfer answers from the question paper to the answer sheet at the end. Each recording is played only one time. The first two passages are usually about topics from daily life, while the last two are more academically oriented. The language gets more challenging from the first recording to the last.
