The Law School Admission Council (LSAC) has recently announced that they will continue with remote LSAT administrations, given the expressed preference of the majority of test takers, alongside LSAT administrations at a test center. To get you set up, we’ve compiled all the important dates you need to know here—along with our best advice on getting the most out of your October 2025 remote LSAT prep.
The October LSAT
October LSAT Dates
The primary test dates are:
- Friday, October 3, 2025
- Saturday, October 4, 2025
- Monday, October 6, 2025
- Tuesday, October 7, 2025
October LSAT Score Release Dates
October LSAT scores will be released via LSAC accounts on Friday, October 24, 2025.
Before you receive your scores for the October LSAT, you’ll need to have a completed LSAT Writing sample. Because of this, LSAT opened the Writing section eight days before the test administration. You can complete this at your convenience, but it’ll have to be done before you can get your scores.
There will be a “score preview” option for the October test, which costs $45 by Thursday, October 2, 2025 and $85 from Tuesday, October 14, 2025 through Wednesday, October 22, 2025. (If you have a fee waiver, that will also apply to this option, which you’ll get automatically.) You won’t get your scores any earlier, but you will have six days after their release to decide if you want to keep or cancel them. If you do nothing, your scores will be kept and sent to schools.
Registration (and Auto-Registration)
If you have not already registered for the October remote LSAT, the deadline is Thursday, August 21, 2025. This is also the deadline to request accommodations or assistance.
October LSAT Cost
The fees for the October remote LSAT are the same as for an in-person LSAT. Plan on spending around $248 for test registration, if you haven’t previously registered for the October exam.
Upcoming LSAT Dates
If you don’t want to (or can’t) take the October LSAT, there’s still one more date in 2025: November.
Recap
The deadline to register for the October LSAT will be here soon. Be sure to take some time and determine whether the October LSAT is right for you by:
- Determining your baseline LSAT score based on a practice test;
- Setting your goal score based on where you want to attend law school; and
- Deciding how much time you need to dedicate to LSAT prep.
Once you work through these steps, you’ll be confident in the test date you choose. Whenever you decide to take the LSAT, remember the key to getting your best score on the LSAT is making sure you have enough time to study!
