It is never too late to continue your education. If a traditional school model wasn’t right for you in the past, you can still experience academic success in the future. Completing a high school GED is a great way to create new lifestyle options, such as enrolling in college or applying for a new job.

Age Requirements for a high school GED

Requirements and age restrictions for earning a high school GED vary by state. The minimum age for testing ranges between 16-19 years old, but most states (43 to be exact) require candidates to be at least 18 years old before taking the GED exam. Research your individual state through the GED testing service to find up-to-date information on testing locations, rules, additional requirements and contact information.
