We Adopted a Word!

Magoosh is now the proud parent of a bouncing baby word: erudite! Check it out: https://www.wordnik.com/words/erudite

Pronounced er-yoo-dahyt, this word is an adjective that describes something or someone as learned, educated, or characterized by great knowledge. As in, “We hope that after studying with Magoosh our students walk away feeling erudite and ready to take on their tests!”

See, it’s no wonder we adopted this one! It’s even similar to the meaning of “magoosh” in Farsi: one who is highly-learned, wise, and generous. Pretty cool, huh?

If you’re interested in adopting your own word, guess what! You totally can. Just got to the Wordnik website to find out more. Adopting a word helps them continue as an ad-free, not-for-profit online dictionary — and we think that’s a worthy cause.

Then they sent us these stickers!
