Magoosh Comics: Future Perfect and Future Perfect Continuous

The future tense is the trickiest of tenses in English. And for many students, the hardest forms of future tense are the very similar future perfect and future perfect continuous tenses. Fortunately there’s a simple way to remember the difference between these two tenses. The future perfect describes an action that will end in the future. The future continuous describes an action that will continue in the future.

If you’re still having trouble picturing this difference, below is a comic strip that can help you easily understand and master these two ways of talking about future actions.

Hi San, I think it depends on what you are trying to say. Based on this limited information, I would suggest these two options are the most correct:
I will be working from 9 to 5 tomorrow
I will be starting the day shift next year.
