I love inspirational quotes. Reading them can really motivate me to work harder or even just comfort me when I’m having a bad day. Recently, I’ve been desperately longing for senior year to end and college to start. So I’ve decided to share some words of wisdom that I like to turn to when I need a boost.
On staying motivated this semester
Sometimes you gotta work a little, so you can ball a lot.
– Tom Haverford, Parks and Recreation
If you’re going through hell, keep going.
– Winston Churchill
Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it’s always your choice.
– Wayne Dyer
Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone.
– Pablo Picasso
On staying busy & becoming passionate about extracurriculars
Love what you do. Get good at it. Competence is a rare commodity in this day and age.
– Jon Stewart
On college rejection
It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default.
– J.K. Rowling
On petty high school drama
The less you respond to negative people, the more peaceful your life will become.
On the future
Sometimes I’ll start a sentence and I don’t even know where it’s going. I just hope I find it along the way.
– Michael Scott, The Office
On new beginnings
Just when the caterpillar thought the world was ending, he turned into a butterfly.
