Updated for the Enhanced ACT. ACT Streaks is quick ACT prep for busy students: about 20 minutes a day, five days a week, for one month. It was rebuilt for the Enhanced ACT, where English, Math, and Reading make up your Composite score, and every lesson and quiz it links to is current in your Magoosh ACT account.

What is a streak?
A streak is a habit you keep without skipping a beat. Aiming for five days in a row each week is a simple, effective way to make steady progress when your schedule is packed. Want to study longer on a given day? Every day has a “Have extra time?” line for exactly that.
How this quick ACT prep plan works
- Start with a diagnostic. Kickoff weekend is ACT Test 1. Your results show you which topics deserve your 20 minutes.
- One short topic a day. Each day is a lesson or two plus a quiz, chosen from the topics that appear most often on the Enhanced ACT and can be learned in one sitting.
- Quiz first. If a topic is already a strength, take the quiz before the lessons. Five out of five, and you skip ahead.
- Your Pick days. One day a week is yours, for whatever your practice tests say you need most.
- Three practice tests. ACT Test 1 at kickoff, then full tests after Weeks 2 and 3, each followed by a review.
- Science and Writing. Optional, with a short start-here list at the end for students taking those sections.
What you will cover
English writer’s goal, run-ons, commas, transitions, word choice, and wordiness; Math percents and ratios, word problems, lines and slope, mean and median, right triangles, and probability; and Reading detail, line-reference, comparison-passage, and author’s-purpose questions. A “What kind of question was that?” guide at the end helps you match the questions you miss to the right lesson.
Have more time?
Streaks covers the highest-value topics only. If you can give more than 20 minutes a day, our one-month, two-month, and three-month schedules go deeper. See all five Magoosh ACT study schedules, or start with our free ACT practice test.
