Muitas pessoas concordam. Entretanto, quando escuto essa frase, tudo o que consigo pensar \u00e9 \u201cqual presente\u201d? Como muitos professores e alunos de ingl\u00eas sabem, existem diversas maneiras de descrever o presente.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nEm ingl\u00eas, existem quatro tempos verbais no presente: presente simples, presente perfeito, presente cont\u00ednuo e presente perfeito cont\u00ednuo. Todos podem ser utilizados de 10 maneiras diferentes. Neste artigo, vamos dar uma olhada nas formas e empregos de cada um. <\/p>\n<h2>Presente Simples<\/h2>\n<p><span align=\"left\" style=\"padding: 30px\"><em><strong>Forma:<\/strong><\/em> Use a estrutura b\u00e1sica do verbo e acrescente um \/s\/ ao final do verbo se o pronome estiver no singular. (A menos que o verbo seja irregular. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mnliteracy.org\/sites\/default\/files\/5-6present_perfect_cd-irregular.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nesses casos, outras regras podem ser aplicadas.<\/a>)<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span align=\"left\" style=\"padding: 30px\"><em><strong>Usos:<\/strong><\/em><\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span align=\"left\" style=\"padding: 30px\"><em>Uso 1: A\u00e7\u00f5es habituais ou rotineiras.<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span align=\"left\" style=\"padding: 50px\"><u>EXEMPLOS:<\/u> The sun <strong>rises<\/strong>. (O sol <strong>nasce<\/strong>.) I <strong>brush<\/strong> my teeth twice a day. (Eu <strong>escovo<\/strong> meus dentes duas vezes por dia.)<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span align=\"left\" style=\"padding: 30px\"><em>Uso 2: Fatos gerais e atemporais.<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span align=\"left\" style=\"padding: 50px\"><u>EXEMPLOS:<\/u> Spiders <strong>makes<\/strong> webs. (Aranhas <strong>fazem<\/strong> teias.) Babies <strong>drink<\/strong> milk. (Beb\u00eas <strong>bebem<\/strong> leite.)<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span align=\"left\" style=\"padding: 30px\"><em>Uso 3: Estilo narrativo (usado para relembrar eventos passados ou anunciar fatos que est\u00e3o acontecendo no momento).<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span align=\"left\" style=\"padding: 50px\"><u>EXEMPLOS:<\/u> So I <strong>go<\/strong> to the store yesterday, and the clerk <strong>says<\/strong> \u201cWe\u2019re closed!\u201d (Da\u00ed, ontem, eu <strong>chego<\/strong> na loja e o caixa <strong>diz<\/strong>: \u201cEstamos fechados!\u201d) He <strong>hits<\/strong> the baseball out of the field and <strong>makes<\/strong> a home run! Os verbos est\u00e1ticos* descrevem o que o sujeito \u00e9, e n\u00e3o o que faz.<\/em><\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span align=\"left\" style=\"padding: 50px\"><u>EXEMPLOS:<\/u> That car <strong>looks<\/strong> old. (Esse carro <strong>parece<\/strong> antigo.) They <strong>think<\/strong> it\u2019s a bad idea. (As crian\u00e7as <strong>se sentem<\/strong> doentes desde que almo\u00e7aram.) My neighbor <strong>has lived<\/strong> next door to me for two years.
