In a recent post, I gave you a look at some AWL words that are common in textbooks and classes on world affairs. In this post, I\u2019m going to give you a quiz on those words.<\/p>\n<p>Before you do the quiz though, let\u2019s look once more at the chart of geopolitical vocabulary words I showed you last time. (This chart lists frequently-used words in this academic subject and shows the different grammatical forms of each word.)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3043 size-large aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/magoosh-company-site\/wp-content\/uploads\/toefl\/files\/2016\/03\/31051411\/tawllq-tvowa_img1-600x331.png\" alt=\"tawllq-tvowa_img1\" width=\"600\" height=\"331\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now it\u2019s time for a quiz. I\u2019ll say a series of sentences that use these words. You\u2019ll be able to read the sentences as you listen, but the key vocabulary words will be blank. On a sheet of paper, complete the sentences by writing down the words you hear. At the very end of this post, you can check the answer key to see how you did.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Listen and fill in the blanks:<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The Hmong people are an <strong>(A) (B)<\/strong> in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam.
