{"id":2970,"date":"2016-03-21T09:30:05","date_gmt":"2016-03-21T16:30:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/magoosh.com\/toefl\/?p=2970"},"modified":"2020-12-10T13:43:55","modified_gmt":"2020-12-10T21:43:55","slug":"toefl-adjectives-in-use","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/magoosh.com\/toefl\/toefl-adjectives-in-use\/","title":{"rendered":"TOEFL Adjectives in Use"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In my most recent <a href=\"https:\/\/magoosh.com\/toefl\/english-vocabulary-building-exercise-adjectives\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">post about adjectives<\/a>\u00a0, I showed you eight adjectives from <a href=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/magoosh.resources\/TOEFLVocabularyPDF.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the Magoosh TOEFL Vocabulary PDF<\/a>. The adjectives were: <em>accurate<\/em>, <em>alternative<\/em>, <em>annual<\/em>, <em>capable<\/em>, <em>complex<\/em>, <em>diverse<\/em>,<em> inadequate<\/em> (taken from the Vocabulary PDF root word \u201cadequate\u201d), and <em>unaware<\/em> (taken from the TOEFL vocabulary root word \u201caware\u201d). I then showed you eight pictures, with a matching activity where you pair at least one adjective with each picture.<\/p>\n<p>There are a number of different matches you could have made in the last activity. But it never hurts to get an English teacher\u2019s interpretation. In this post, I give you a list of possible answers for the previous word-picture matching exercise.
