I am Priyanka Singhvi, the new kid on the block at Magoosh\u2019s TOEFL blog. I just finished my graduation in Computer Science and Engineering from India. Along with keeping you all informed about fun ways of making English your second nature, TOEFL and other quirky off-the-shelf topics, I will also join Tesco as a Software Engineer in September 2015. Like the conventional geek, I love reading books, and I relate the most to Sheldon on \u201cThe Big Bang Theory\u201d \ud83d\ude00 . I have been training in Indian Classical music and playing the harmonium for over 10 years. Singing is my alter ego. I come from a family of Rotarians and I involve myself in quite a bit of social service activities. I love to cook and randomly find myself exploring different places, and blowing up all of my money on food. \ud83d\ude00<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I fell in love with Magoosh when I started using the Magoosh GRE Premium Account. The Magoosh team welcomed me with open arms to write for their TOEFL blog. I think this is the best time for me to start writing for Magoosh because I am going through the process of applying. I will be attending college in the Fall of 2016, for MS in Computer Science. So this will be more like my personal diary record. Through the Magoosh TOEFL blog, I will share all that I already know, and all that I learn and absorb from my seniors who have \u201cbeen there, done that,&#8221; my mentors , and any person with experience who lets me pick their brains.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I feel that most of the students reading the articles here will relate to me, because I don\u2019t come from the best Engineering College, which is where the majority of the prospective applicants pass out from. I will be writing extensively about how to make any application stronger and how to be more confident when applying. As I previously mentioned, I will try my best to make sure that TOEFL feels like a walk in the park (at least when you are taking the test :)). I will also write a special story blog about \u201cHow I scored 111\/120 without even studying a word for TOEFL.&#8221; It may sound like &#8220;I got lucky,&#8221; but I&#8217;ve had to work very closely with English for as long as I can remember. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I have a fair bit of experience in research and writing papers, and I shall share my thoughts on how to choose the perfect subject and kick-start your research in my next blog post.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I will also write blog posts on how to manage time because I have always had a crammed up schedule and still managed to achieve more than I could have.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It feels like getting into any university abroad, be it the US, or the UK, or Australia is a mammoth task. But if your vision is bigger, the task will seem much smaller. I will try to make sure that my posts remove this fear of applying to universities for good. If you want me to write on any related topics, please do mention it in the comments section below. I will answer your questions to the best of my ability. \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">I shall conclude every post with a motivational quote or inspiring lines that I write. Let\u2019s give it an interesting name!
