Although taking the TOEFL can seem like an overwhelming experience, it doesn’t have to be! Navigating the administrative side of the test can be a lot easier once you know what to expect. The ETS TOEFL account site addresses the most common requests that test-takers have, as well as providing contact information for more individual questions.
The first thing you’ll need to do to access your ETS TOEFL account is—you guessed it—make an account! On the TOEFL homepage, choose “log in” and you’ll be directed to this screen:
As a new user, you’ll sign up on the right-hand side. After providing basic information, including your name, address, and basic educational background, you’ll land on your ETS homepage. This is where you can really get down to business. The page will look something like this:
You’ll notice that the most vital TOEFL tasks are located on the left-hand side of the page, in an easy-to-read menu.
Register for a Test
If you’re a new user, you may want to sign up to take the TOEFL, or you may simply be interested in finding out what test dates are available in your area in the future. Following the link in the sidebar, “Register for a Test,” will take you to a drop-down menu that will provide specific information relevant to your area.
Order Score Reports
Once you’ve taken the test and received your scores, you still have the option to send the scores to universities or other organizations for a fee. If you need to do this, this is the link you’ll want!
Not sure if you sent your scores to your preferred university, or double-check the date of your test? This is where you want to go. This section has your order history and will confirm previous purchases.
The biggie! Once you’ve taken the test, your scores will be available approximately 13 days later. This is where you go to find them. If you’ve already seen them, this is where you go to revel in the high-scoring glory that is your TOEFL score!
