Magoosh Comics: How NOT to Make a Sentence

###
Announcement! As of August 1, 2019, the TOEFL Reading, Listening and Speaking sections will be shortened. The TOEFL will also make changes to its prep materials and scoring system. Because of this, some of the info in our blog posts may not yet reflect the new exam format. We cover all the changes here.
###

Last time, we took a closer look at how to make a sentence, with a focus on object placement. Recall that by “object placement,” I mean the use of direct objects, indirect objects, and prepositional objects in sentences.

Now I’m going to show you how NOT to make a sentence, with some comics that show common mistakes with direct, indirect, and prepositional objects. At the end of both comic strips below, the characters finally get it right. Enjoy!
