This is the 6th and final post in my Magoosh Comics series about idioms. Idioms are lots of fun—they are funny, weird phrases that people use in casual conversation. They can also be very useful on the TOEFL, especially in in the Independent Speaking and Writing tasks.
- be broke
- hard feelings
- make a mountain out of a molehill
- not on your life
The Magoosh Comic:
Read the comic. Based what the characters are saying and doing, what do you think each idiom means? Check your guesses by looking up the idioms in the idiom dictionary at ESLCafe.com. To look up the idioms, go back to the list at the beginning of this post. When you’re using the ESLCafe dictionary, use the first letter of the first word of each idiom from the list.
