Hello, readers. My name is David Recine, and I have just joined the Magoosh team as a TOEFL Expert. In the next few days, I’ll begin giving you tips for TOEFL success. Before I begin, I’d like to introduce myself.
I came into my teaching career quite by accident. In 2007, I was a business banker in the U.S. It wasn’t a bad job, but it was kind of boring. I began to apply for jobs that seemed more interesting, including overseas teaching jobs. Soon, I was contacted by a South Korean teacher recruiter. In just a few months, I was out in South Korea, teaching English for their public school system. In just a few years, I was married and had a kid. My family and I decided to move back to America in 2010. There, I began teaching university ESL courses while earning my Master’s Degree in TESOL.
These days, I train ESL teachers for a local teacher’s college. On top of that, I teach academic English and test preparation to online students from around the world. I have been helping students prepare for the TOEFL for years. I’m very excited to share my knowledge with you. Let’s get started!
