IXL Math

IXL Math is available to help students in pre-school through high school learn everything they need to excel in their grade. In fact, the site provides a list of all the skills that students should know in that grade or class. After choosing the skill to learn, students access activities that allow them to practice that skill.

The website gives immediate feedback and support to encourage students to continue learning. It also provides diagnosis help, so you can know what areas your child may be struggling in. This, of course, helps both you and your child to know what they should focus on to master all necessary skills.

To gain unlimited access to the site, you need to purchase a membership. You can choose a month-to-month membership for $10 or a yearly one for $79.

Khan Academy

Khan Academy also caters to students from pre-school up through high school. Unlike IXL Math, the website is free to use, but they ask for donations to help support the site. As your child starts each section, he or she will take a quiz. This is meant to help diagnose your child’s knowledge of the subject. After completing the quiz, your child will go through learning modules and practice questions to help master each section.

The NRICH Project was created by a group of teachers working for the University of Cambridge. The website caters to students from pre-school through high school, along with teachers, to provide activities and practice problems with step-by-step instructions.

PBS Kids

When it comes to PBS Kids, you might think of Dinosaur Train and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. However, there are several math games for kids available on the website. Unfortunately, these games are aimed more at preschoolers and kindergartners.

So if your child is older, check out PBS Learning Media. This site has how-to videos available for students from preschool to college. The videos cover things like adding and subtracting, finding the mean, calculating ratios, and working with integers.

If your child needs a quick review of concepts and terms for a test, check out the Instacrams. These are short videos that provide a quick reminder to help your child remember the concept’s meaning.

These math websites for kids all provide materials that your child can use to review, learn, and master important math concepts. No matter why your child chooses to use these websites, they can help meet academic goals while providing some fun in the process.
