Schools that accept the MAT

If you see the school you are interested in on our list, make sure you go to the school’s website to confirm this information. Look up your intended program, find their admission requirements, and make sure they still accept the Miller Analogies Test (accepted exams do occasionally change).

The school list was put together using the testing center reference sheet provided by Pearson. However, there is no single database that provides a list of all the schools which accept the MAT. This makes it difficult to put together any sort of exhaustive list. If you do not see your desired school above, see this other document from Pearson.

This provides a list of recipient codes for schools in each state; the “recipient code” is used to identify the school you want your scores sent to after completing the MAT. Often, but not always, if a school has a recipient code, it accepts the MAT. Always confirm that the MAT is accepted for the specific program you are looking at.

What if your school does not accept the MAT?

All the graduate exams–GRE, GMAT, etc.–can be studied for. If your dream school does not accept the MAT, don’t be afraid to study for a different exam! If you have the time and materials, you can be successful on any of them (and we have a ton of resources on Magoosh that can help!).
