While the United States definitely has the most law schools in the world, believe it or not, there are still some pretty good ones in other countries. The attraction of going to a foreign law school is pretty big. Students get to experience another country, and everything that goes with that.<\/p>\n

So, here’s a list of the top law schools outside of the United States<\/p>\n

1. University of Cambridge<\/h2>\n

Located in England, Cambridge<\/a>\u00a0is one of the oldest law schools in the world. They’ve been studying the law since the 13th century, which makes even the oldest laws schools in the United States look like infants. The school has an amazingly large endowment, and if you can get in, you’ll have quite the resume booster. Students who go to Cambridge can get an LLM and a Masters of Corporate law.<\/p>\n

2. University of Oxford<\/h2>\n

At Oxford<\/a>, the school of law was added in 1853. However, this school is another iconic university with a very rich history. The law school offers 6 law degrees after you receive your bachelor’s degree, with focuses in criminal law, taxation, and intellectual property law. If you go here, you will also have ample opportunities to perform hours and hours of research on various legal topics as well.<\/p>\n

3. University of Melbourne<\/h2>\n

Located in Australia, the University of Melbourne<\/a> is arguably the most prestigious law school in the country. It has been around for over 150 years. The curriculum mirrors closely with law schools in the United States, and, once again, students here get the chance to live in, well, Australia.<\/p>\n

4. National University of Singapore<\/h2>\n

National University in Singapore<\/a> is the best law school in Asia. Honestly, if you want to study international law<\/a>, this would be the place to go. The faculty hail from all over the world, and student body is one of the most diverse you’ll find. <\/p>\n

Going to law school outside the United States, if you plan on practicing inside the United States, has its limits. Getting licensed in the U.S. will be difficult, if not impossible, in most cases. However, if you plan on practicing law elsewhere, you might want to seriously consider going to school outside the U.S. Just keep in mind that just about every law school in the United States has some kind of relationship with schools in foreign countries that allow students to study abroad.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
