JEE Revision Plan for 3 Months Before Test Date

3 month jee revision plan

Revision plays a major role in achieving a good JEE rank. If you do not revise what you have studied, you are likely to forget a major part of that — which you surely cannot afford to do if you want a good rank! The last three months are very crucial for any serious JEE aspirant. This is the time that can make you or break you — it all depends on how you utilize this time. In this post, we will give you a JEE revision plan which will help you to complete your JEE revision properly.

JEE Revision Plan for the third last month before the JEE

By this time, you should have completed all the JEE syllabus. This is the time when the class 12th appearing students would be focusing on their Board exam preparation along with the JEE preparation. This is the time from when you are advised not to study any new topic, and rather strengthen your grasp on the topics that you have already studied. However, if you feel that some topic is important and you have not studied it yet, go for it. But it is advisable to finish all the JEE syllabus at least once before this time.

In the last three months of your JEE preparation, your study hours should shoot up incredibly. Some students even study for as much as 16 hours per day during this time! To be competent, you should also study for a comparable number of hours. It is understandable that you won’t be able to study with 100% efficiency, but try to maintain at least 70% efficiency.

During this time, you can revise the following topics of each subject:

Physics:

  • Kinematics, Newton’s laws of motion, Friction
  • Circular motion
  • Gravitation
  • Work, Energy, and Power
  • Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Capacitor
  • Geometrical Optics and Wave Optics
  • Magnetism
  • Alternating current

Chemistry:

  • Physical Chemistry
    • Mole and Equivalent Concept
    • Electrochemistry
    • Chemical and Ionic Equilibrium
    • Solid State
    • Gaseous State
    • Thermodynamics and Thermochemistry
    • Surface Chemistry
  • Organic Chemistry
    • Nomenclature of compounds
    • Isomerism
    • General Organic Chemistry
    • Practical Organic Chemistry
    • Stereoisomerism
    • Acids and bases
  • Inorganic Chemistry
    • Nomenclature of compounds
    • Periodic table
    • Coordination Compounds
    • Chemical Bonding
    • Metallurgy
    • s and p blocks

Mathematics:

  • Quadratic Equations
  • Functions
  • Inverse Trigonometric Functions
  • Limits
  • Continuity and Differentiability
  • Application of Derivatives
  • Binomial theorem
  • Sequences and Series
  • Straight Lines
  • Circles

JEE Revision Plan for the second last month before the JEE

From this month onwards, you can start making some relevant changes in your lifestyle, that will help you in being efficient during the exam hours. Some of them are listed below:

  • Stop sleeping during the day and waking up till late night.
  • Study in several sessions of three hours each. This will help you develop a habit of sitting continuously for three hours and do serious work — which is what you will eventually do in the exam.
  • Curb the habit of listening to music while studying

In this month, revise the following topics:

Physics:

  • Simple Harmonic Motion
  • Rigid Body Dynamics
  • Properties of Matter
  • Surface Tension
  • Fluid Mechanics
  • Viscosity
  • Modern Physics

Chemistry:

  • Physical Chemistry
    • Chemical Kinetics
    • Nuclear Chemistry
    • Atomic Structure
  • Organic Chemistry
    • Carbonyl Compounds
    • Aromatic Compounds
    • Carboxylic Acids and their Derivatives
    • Grignard Reagent
  • Inorganic Chemistry
    • Qualitative Analysis
    • d and f blocks
    • Metallurgy

Mathematics:

  • Conics — Parabola, Ellipse, Hyperbola
  • Solutions of Triangle
  • Indefinite Integration
  • Definite Integration and its Applications
  • Vectors
  • 3-D Geometry

JEE Revision Plan for the last month before the JEE

In this month, revise the following topics:

Physics:

  • Waves
  • Kinetic Theory of Gases
  • Calorimetry and Thermal Expansion
  • Heat and Thermodynamics

Chemistry:

  • Hydrocarbons
  • Polymers
  • Biochemistry
  • Alkyl halides, ethers, and alcohols

Mathematics:

  • Complex Numbers
  • Differential Equations
  • Permutation and Combinations
  • Probability

You must have noticed that we have written a lesser number of topics in the JEE revision plan for the last month before JEE. This is so because you should solve as many JEE Main mock tests and JEE Advanced mock tests as possible. Also, focus on solving previous years’ questions papers of JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

Apart from this, you should also keep revising all the formulae, tips, and tricks used in various topics. Reactions of Chemistry, especially Inorganic Chemistry, will stick in your mind better if you have a look at them every alternate day.

This JEE revision plan is designed to help you carry out your JEE revision in a systematic manner. If you follow it, you will surely complete your revision nicely and on time. Do your best and crack the JEE. Good luck!
