However, you will hear it often in common speech.<\/p>\n<p>The beauty of the tense is that it doesn\u2019t matter what <em>person<\/em> you\u2019re speaking in. It also doesn\u2019t matter whether the subject is <em>singular<\/em> or <em>plural<\/em>. You always use the root form of the verb.<\/p>\n<p>Examples:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>I <strong>will go<\/strong> to the store later today.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>We <strong>are going to find<\/strong> your keys.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>She <strong>will paint<\/strong> your picture next week.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Jessie <strong>is going to leave<\/strong> your book by the door.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Harry <strong>is going to purchase<\/strong> a new car next year.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Making It Negative<\/h2>\n<p>To make a future simple verb negative, use this formula: <strong><em>will not\/won\u2019t + verb [root form]<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>OR [am, is, are] + not + going to + verb [root form]<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Examples:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I <strong><em>will not go<\/em><\/strong> there anymore.<\/li>\n<li>David <strong><em>isn\u2019t going to ride<\/em><\/strong> with us.<\/li>\n<li>Jerry <strong><em>won\u2019t testify<\/em><\/strong> in court next week.<\/li>\n<li>They <strong><em>aren\u2019t going to see<\/em><\/strong> us next month.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Asking a Question<\/h2>\n<p>To ask a question in the future simple, use the formula: <strong>Will + subject + verb [root form] OR<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Am\/Is\/Are + Subject + going to + verb [root form]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Examples:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Are you going to run<\/em><\/strong> today?<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Will he testify<\/em><\/strong>?<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Is she going to<\/em><\/strong> leave tomorrow?<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Am I going to see<\/em><\/strong> you next week?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>When To Use the Future Simple Tense<\/h2>\n<p>This section includes four common uses for the tense with examples for your reference.
