In this week’s installment, we look at the idiomatic expressions involving predicate, mistake, and unlike.
Correction: The first example contains an error. Can you find it? 😀
The sentence contains a pronoun-antecedent error. We should replace “their” with “its” since the pronoun is referring to “company.”

For the Last Idiom Question, you have mentioned as,
The Schools predicted that the scores would rise ….blah blah…
Why can’t it be –> “The Schools predicted that the scores will rise … blah blah ..” ?

Hi there, Prasanna! The reason we don’t use “will” in this case is because we are talking about something in the past. We have the past tense verb “predicted” indicating that we are referring to something that happened in the past. So, we use “would” since it is the past tense form of “will” so that we are consistent. 😀
