Thanks to stellar <\/span><b><i>soundtracks<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, superior animation, and excellent writing, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Frozen<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Frozen 2<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> became two of the most popular movies of all time. Much of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Frozen<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2019s success is also thanks to the unique yet <\/span><b><i>relatable<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> protagonist of the films: Elsa. However, Elsa wasn\u2019t always meant to be the good-natured princess that we\u2019ve come to know and love.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Though you might not believe it, Elsa was originally created as the villain of the movies! During the development stages of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Frozen<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, the animators and producers imagined Elsa as the <\/span><b><i>antagonist<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Early <\/span><b><i>storyboards <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">showed her descending the mountain with her army of evil snowmen to <\/span><b><i>storm<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> the castle. Since she was unfairly <\/span><b><i>shunned<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> from society (even in the earliest conceptions of the <\/span><b><i>plot<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">), Elsa wanted to seek revenge against her enemies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">However, as the scriptwriters, animators, and even songwriters continued work on the film, they aimed to make Elsa a more sympathetic character. Given the <\/span><b><i>seclusion<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> she experienced during her childhood, it was difficult to make her a completely evil character. So, by the time post-production had begun, Elsa was already the <\/span><b><i>heroine<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and star of the film!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Elsa also evolved over the course of the movies. At the beginning of the first film, Elsa was a <\/span><b><i>free-spirited<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> young girl who had just begun to discover her own unique powers. However, after years of isolation, she became much more closed, secretive, and <\/span><b><i>reclusive<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Finally, by the end of the first film, Elsa had rediscovered her true identity, allowing her to be more open and free again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Frozen 2<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Elsa, Anna, and their friends are all living happily in the castle. Nonetheless, Elsa still feels <\/span><b><i>tormented<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> by unknown forces. In an attempt to find out more about herself and the history of her homeland, Elsa sets out on an adventure into the <\/span><b><i>Enchanted<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Forest.
