Things to Do When You Finish College Applications

So you finished your personal statement, all the supplements, and filling in your information. Guess what that means. It means it is time to submit and celebrate! Finishing college applications is a great feat that you should be proud of. Here are a few things you should remember to do.

1) Take a Deep Breath

College applications are stressful, take a deep breath because now you never have to deal with them ever again. You’ve overcome a great hurdle, no more stress about finishing supplements by the due date or making sure you filled out everything correctly. Be prepared to put all the anxiety that came with applications behind you. <sigh of relief>

2) Pat Yourself on the Back

Not only are you now free from the stress but you achieved an accomplishment so pat yourself on the back. You deserve to tell yourself that you did good work and you just have to trust that your work will get you into the right colleges. You should be proud, applying to college is a huge milestone.

3) Go Out with Friends

Celebrate the accomplishment with your friends because they are most likely done turning everything in as well! What better way to take in the feat than with other people who went through the same thing? It will enhance the celebration as everyone has all this positive energy.

4) Know that Everything is Going to Work Out

Now that you have turned in the applications, know that anything that comes next is out of your control. Everything happens for a reason so anything that happens when college decisions come out will be ok! Really get excited, you are just heading into the next chapter of your life.

Congrats on finishing college applications and good luck! I wish you the best!
