How To Stay Organized During College Application Season

Calling the college application season stressful would definitely be an understatement. One way to keep yourself sane is organization. If you know exactly what essays to write and when to write them, it will make your life a lot easier.

Make a list

Make a list of all the essays you have to write and the topic of each one. A visual organization will make it easier to see if you can reuse essays with similar topics. Plus, there’s something comforting about having everything in front of you so you know you’re not forgetting anything.

Set deadlines

Set deadlines weeks before the real due dates. That way, you’ll make sure you stay on track and won’t be stuck working on an essay the night before it’s due.

Schedule work periods

Schedule specific times for working on college applications when you know you won’t have a lot of homework. Although it seems hard to balance all the extra work, it’s very possible if you schedule correctly.

Don’t panic

The best way to stay organized and keep your life together is to remain calm. Don’t worry too much about the future. Just focus on the actual content of your applications and try to make them the best you possibly can.
