Four ACT Test Hacks You Can’t Live Without

ACT Test Hacks that Will Immediately Improve Your Score

This episode of TuesdACT is a good one if I do say so myself. I go over some of my favorite hacks for the ACT test, one for each of the the four multiple choice sections of the ACT:

English: Let’s talk about the FANBOYS.

Liam got a 35 on the ACT. Get a higher ACT score with Magoosh.

Math: Using your answer sheet as a ruler and protractor (It’s true!)

Reading: Paying attention to the first and last sentences of paragraphs. (That’s where the most important information is 90% of the time).

Science: A special strategy for answering those impossible “Yes/No, Because…” questions. You might be able to get the answer without even reading the question!

Seriously, guys, check it out!

Bonus Hacks!

One of my favorite resources that we have at Magoosh is our Exam Lifehacks infographic that is chock-full of helpful tips that will enhance your performance on the ACT (or any other test) but that don’t really have anything to do with the content you are studying. Can listening to music and chewing gum improve your ACT score? It sure can!

Check out the video above for how you can use everything from music to cute animal videos to deep breathing to help increase your ACT score!
