We agree, Maria, you should not fear the GRE. 🙂 Thanks for the tips!
About me: I’m Maria from Pakistan. I’m currently working as a market researcher. I completed my undergraduate BSc (Hons). in double majors Economics and Finance and fell in love with analytics during my undergrad years, so I decided to devote the rest of my life to ‘data analysis’. Now I intend to complete my MBA specializing in Marketing and Business Intelligence. My interests include listening to music and reading books.
My biggest challenge: I found geometry to be a bit tough, and I improved by watching the Magoosh GRE Math tutorials again and again. I had initially been using Manhattan Prep Strategy Books, but the Magoosh video lessons helped polish up the concepts more.
If I could re-do my studies: I’d definitely buy Magoosh for a longer period and take a daily lesson for at least 2 months straight without working. I was working full time while preparing for GRE. But I am still pleased with my score. This is much more than what I was expecting. I took a practice test before subscribing to Magoosh and was getting 141 on average on both Quant and Verbal. After just two weeks of Magoosh, my score increased to 152. And in the real test I scored 156 in both. So that actually proves Magoosh does wonders.
Helpful tips for other students: Be confident. It’s a test of your nerves. You should not make it seem like the end of the world. Please do not fear the GRE. You are sure to score all the questions right if you don’t let it overwhelm you.
