Cost of an MBA Degree: $350K.

A recent Poets and Quants article highlights a growing divide between Pre-MBA and Post-MBA salaries at top schools. Stanford GSB is highlighted as the most expensive graduate business program at $351,662 with the least expensive ($195,380) Top 25 degree from the University of Wisconsin. These amounts are calculated using the tuition and room and board costs as well as forgone earnings. So, top schools are more expensive relative to some other schools not only because of their steep tuition costs, but also because incoming students’ last paystubs were larger.

Unfortunately, the accelerating tuition amounts are rising more quickly than starting MBA salaries. For instance, the price tag of a Kellogg MBA has risen 32% over the past ten years. Starting salaries? Just 13%.
