Meet a Magoosher: Amrita

Amrita-Kulkarni-210x250

Hi, everybody! And happy Monday! Today we’re talking to Amrita, our Office and Operations Manager. Aside from all the hard work she does on the hiring end, she’s also in charge of keeping our happiness-levels high by scheduling stoke-filled team outings and making sure we’re using all our fun stipends in meaningful ways! 🙂

You can tell she’s awesome at her job because you’d have to try pretty hard to get our team to stop smiling. (You’d have to like ….jump into our office dressed as a terrifying clown or something. Please don’t.)

And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the Q&A!

1. Hey Amrita, how was your weekend?

It was very relaxing. 🙂 I went up to Indian Rock for the first time, binge watched several Netflix documentaries, and did some seemingly never-ending loads of laundry.

2. If you had to be trapped in a video game for 24 hours, which one would it be?

If I was trapped in a video game… hmm… Harvest Moon? Because everyone is nice and happy and you don’t have to fight anyone.

The happy world of Harvest Moon.

Or Civilization. It would be so ridiculously cool to actually be able to witness some of the greatest developments of all time and meet some of the history’s most famous leaders!

3. What’s your favorite TV show and which character would you be on the show?

Easiest question. Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Don’t knock it till you watch all of it. Joss Whedon is amazing. Also, I would be Willow Rosenburg (played by Alyson Hannigan). She is the nicest person ever, happens to be really badass, and uses her smarts to defeat evil.

4. If you had to be trapped on an island with one celebrity, who would it be and why?

Hmm. Maybe Tom Hanks?

I’d hope after acting in Castaway that he might have developed some survival skills. Or maybe anyone from Robinson Crusoe or Gilligan’s Island. Basically, I’d really like to not die on this island.

5. What’s your favorite part about working at Magoosh?

The people! I love how seriously awesome my coworkers are. They pick me up when I’m down, make me laugh, and motivate me! Does it get better than that?! 😀
